Position Summary:

Mud Pie is currently hiring a Receiving Supervisor to join our Distribution team.  This individual will play a vital role in the distribution center and report directly to the Operations Manager. The Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring the receiving and storage of all inbound inventory. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and supervising a team of 10-15 associates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of associates to perform the off-loading and breakdown of inbound containers
  • Ensure receiving team’s ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations
  • Oversee the timely execution of the full receiving process both physically and systematically
  • Ensure that all inbound material is accurately staged, stocked and put away with full WMS transactions
  • Coordinate priorities with inbound logistics team
  • Lead & supervise a team of hourly associates in receiving and inbound operations within the fulfillment center.
  • Interface with offsite warehousing inventory and operations
  • Optimize storage requirements and modifies bin configuration to facilitate productive operations and maintain inventory integrity.
  • Ensure proper receiving through management of receiving man power, timely processing of inbound shipments, and forward thinking department planning.
  • Inspect racking areas to ensure that any safety concerns are effectively documented and resolved; check racking areas to ensure that product is positioned correctly and is placed in the racking area as required; review racking to identify empty pallets for redeployment back to the receiving area; repair pallets as needed.
  • Manage external truck lot daily
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or experience equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years of Receiving experience
  • Experience with WMS Systems
  • Possess strong verbal and written communications skills; demonstrated ability to organize vast amounts of data and possess solid time management skills
  • Must be resilient, focused problem solver and self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a complex environment
  • Capable of working the entire MS Office suite, especially Excel. MS Access experience is a plus
  • Supervisory experience in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment
